Using Visual Aids
It is helpful to keep reminders of maths around the house. For example, magnetic numbers could be stuck on the fridge to practise maths.
Posters are another visual way to remind children of numbers. There are different types of posters eg some for multiplication etc
Make your own. Check out what your child is currently working on and make a poster with them together. For example, they may be doing angles.
Get a A3 sheet of cardboard and make a poster showing the different types of angles. You can use different coloured pens to highlight different points for them. This can be fun for you and your child as it is shared time together.
The process of doing this will also help reinforce the information for them. next time you go to the shops, have a look at the different posters or look online for ideas.
